In Winter 2021, Pearson surveyed 749 learners and 72 instructors in STEM and business/economics courses in an effort to understand their perceptions and expectations when using a digital learning platform in quantitative courses. These learners and instructors were general users of digital learning platforms including Pearson products such as MyLab and Mastering.

Iowa conducted a study comparing a student-centered, flipped classroom to a lecture-based, traditional classroom. Results indicated that students in the student-centered section were significantly more engaged and achieved higher learning outcomes than students in the lecture-based section.
